Digital Wellbeing as a crucial element to excelling at the workplace in a healthful and sustainable way.

Over the past 20 years, our work environments have become suffused with technology that offers ubiquitous connectivity with content, contacts, and services without time or place constraints. Now that technology permits us to be permanently online and permanently connected, employees face the new challenge to obtain a healthy balance between connectivity and disconnectivity, in other words, to attain digital wellbeing. 

Unfortunately, research has shown that employees scarcely disconnect from technology at the workplace, with negative effects on their social activities, work and study distraction, procrastination, and emotional exhaustion, and anxiety. Therefore, digital wellbeing at the workplace appears to be urgent today.

The DIGIWELL project will set:

  • The development of the profile of the Digital Wellbeing Manager including the key competences required to develop digital wellbeing at the workplace,
  • An innovative Digital Wellbeing training program with related content of training and digital learning means (eLearning) based on a work-based learning strategy.

The project is carried out in collaboration with partners from Bulgaria, Cyprus, Finland, France, Greece, Italy and Spain.
