Project Overview: VRCARE is an Erasmus+ project aimed at modernizing healthcare education and improving the care of the elderly and children through the use of Virtual Reality (VR). The project focuses on developing realistic VR scenarios and real-life scripts that can be used for teaching ethics, interaction, stimulation, and sensory training.
Objectives:
- Enhance Healthcare Education: By integrating VR technology into teaching, students can gain a deeper understanding of ethical dilemmas and interaction skills.
- Activate Elderly and Children: Develop VR scenarios that can be used to stimulate and activate the elderly and children in care centers, improving their well-being and quality of life.
- Strengthen Collaboration: Promote collaboration between educators and caregivers by creating shared teaching materials and VR scenarios.
Key Activities:
- Development of VR Scenarios: Create 12 VR scenarios based on real-life scripts covering topics such as ethics, interaction, and stimulation.
- Pilot Projects: Test and evaluate the VR scenarios in collaboration with educators, students, and caregivers
- Virtual Learning Environment: Establish an online platform with learning resources and guidelines for using VR in education and care.
Expected Results:
- Improved Quality of Education: Students will have the opportunity to experience realistic scenarios that enhance their learning and preparation for the workforce.
- Enhanced Care: Caregivers can use VR scenarios to activate and stimulate the elderly and children, improving their well-being.
- Sustainability: The project's results will be made available online for other educational institutions and care centers to use.
